How can I advocate for myself? What accommodations can I ask for?
It can sometimes feel hard to ask for what you need in a tattoo shop, but I am always happy for my clients to tell me what they need from me to make the experience the best!
you can always ask to stop the tattoo process as any point, you are never stuck and I will never make you feel bad for needing to stop, or take breaks, this includes stopping before we even begin tattooing.
you can always wear headphones, use stim/fidget toys, use your phone or other devices, etc.
you can always ask for a silent session, you can always ask to be scheduled at specific times, or when there aren’t any men in the shop.
you can always inform me if the way I have you positioned to get tattooed is too uncomfortable or painful, you can inform me that the tattoo is too painful and we will stop, you can ask that room dividers be put up during your tattoo.
-you make ask for anything, this list is just examples. I will do anything in my power to ensure you have a safe and comfortable experience!
Masks Covid policy
I will always wear mask, and prefer that you do as well but it is not required, you may do what feels best for you! I do have masks available in the shop if needed.
How does pricing work?
I am at a rate of $180 an hour! Pricing will all depend on what you want, the size and the placement of your tattoo. Larger tattoos can always be split into multiple sessions in order to make them affordable! Please feel free to let me know if you have a budget!
What are things I love tattooing?
Creatures of all kinds! I am particularly interested in fantasy beasts, and would like to tattoo more werewolves and unicorns
Plants - florals, mushrooms!!!!!!, leafy, vegetables, fruits, everything
Fantasy concepts - knights, weapons, castles, dragons, mythical/folk creatures, etc
Pop culture - LOTR, Dark Crystal, Drag performers, horror movies/icons, etc
Death/decay/skulls and bones
I really enjoy tattooing in my own style, which I feel is something I am always exploring, and I am down to challenge myself if it feels right to both of us! If you have an idea but you aren’t sure, submit a form anyway!! We can discuss your ideas and see if anything would fit into what I feel I do best. <3
How did I get into tattooing?
I grew up in and out of studios as my family was always getting tattooed. I remember always being so interested in the process, but I never thought I was allowed in the industry. I am part self taught, part taught by other tattoo artists in shops. I’ve always loved how a tattoo can help transform one’s self view and I’ve drawn since I was little, so at some point I was just ready to throw myself into the industry!
What can I bring with me to my appointment?
You can bring anything that will make you feel comfortable during the appointment! People before have brought fidget toys, video games, snacks and water. Just keep in mind placement will dictate if you’re able to have a book/switch/etc on hand!
Can I bring someone with me?
Please ask or let me know first! I am definitely okay with a friend coming along, my space is smaller, and your support person may not be able to sit directly next to you, please let me know if you need accommodations and I will do my best! I also understand tattoos are an anxiety inducing process and it can be important to have a friend with you for support!
Am I too big / too small to get tattooed?
Literally your body is perfect and so are you!! You can get tattooed no matter what you weigh or what you look like! My tattoo bed is high quality and has a weight limit of 700 pounds.
Will your style work on my skin tone?
Yes!!!! Absolutely. Your skin tone does not and will not ever affect getting tattooed by me! Please let me know if you have any questions for me regarding this!
Where do I park? How do I find your studio? Is your studio ADA accessible?
Jurassic Ink Tattoo Co located in Federal Way at 30919 Pacific HWY is an ADA accessible building with a parking lot!
You can’t see the building from the street, as we are located behind a large grey building!
